2024 Recipient

My name is Chase Sliworsky, and I grew up on a cattle ranch in Meadow Portage. I enjoy being outdoors, and I have many hobbies here on the ranch. These include snowmobiling, hunting, quadding, and helping my family with various daily chores. I have also played a range of sports throughout high school including soccer, volleyball, cross-country running, basketball, curling, badminton, and track and field. I will be graduating from Winnipegosis Collegiate in June, and I will be attending the University of Saskatchewan this September. I have been accepted to a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree, and I plan to major in Animal Science. After two years of study in this field, I plan on applying to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. This will be an additional four years of study, and when I am finished, I will be a veterinarian. I am very appreciative of the Dauphin Ag Society for awarding this bursary to me, and I would like to thank everyone who has supported me along the way.

My hobbies reflect my love for the outdoors and hands-on activities. I enjoy farming, hunting, traveling and being with friends and family! I will be graduating from Dauphin Regional Comprehensive Secondary School and will be attending the University of Manitoba this fall to pursue a diploma in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences.
